Travel Philippines: Bacolod

Back to Bacolod

Last Sunday to Monday, thanks to the 3-day weekend, I was in Bacolod city with my brothers to visit our cousins. The days seemed to have passed like a blur because just when we're having so so so much fun, it was Monday already.

Saturday. Lola Ester, Kuya Gian, Gio and I were in the airport around 3am for our 4 55am flight. I was watching the Living Asia channel's feature on Palmas del Mar Resort in Bacolod prior to the flight. Hours later, I was in the actual resort. I didn't know my Titas booked for an overnight stay there, an extension of Wawo's (grandfather) birthday celebration. Do I have decent pictures of the three pools and the lake? No. Did I swim? No. Did I have fun? A lot!

Sunday. One loooooong day! My brothers and I became baby sitters for more than 5 hours. I mean, the adults (though we are of legal age, we're considered kids) were having their siesta naps while we three looked after the three babies. This included playing with them, making sure their bottles of milk are ready in case they ask, stopping would-be fights, and basically not resting. In the evening, we went to where the countdown to the Chinese New Year was set up. It's my first time to experience such a jam packed street party and I must say I enjoyed it. I'll try to sweet-talk my mom into allowing me to go back to Bacolod for the Masskara festival. Hihi

Monday. I played and talked with Caoume all day. We did a little treasure hunting in the afternoon which meant she bought some huge stuffed toys and I bought huge 'toys' as well. Around 5 30pm, Wawo, Wawa, Tita Cay, Tita Mikoy, Lala, and the two kids brought me and my brothers to the airport for our 7 o'clock flight back to Manila.

The moment Elija and Caoume were out of our sights, my brothers and I had the same comment, "I'm feeling under the weather". Here's hoping we'd see more of them before they return to Virginia. We've totally been hooked with their antics!

To Tita Cay, Wawo, Wawa, Lala Ester, Tito Christian, Tito Jojie, Tita Madette, Tita Mikoy, Taedi, Andrew, Caoume, and Elija, thank you so much for the fun filled weekend :)

Henyo Eh

Why do we keep on saying we know all things? Henyo eh. Don't get me wrong, I was referring to our two days in a row game of Pinoy Henyo. My phone turned out to have such application so whenever we feel like testing how good we are at playing charades, we use my phone. Don't judge, syunga (stupid) lang. Hahaha! I was thinking of entitling this post either 'Henyo Eh' or 'Sisterhood... Plus One' but the latter was outweighed by the first cause until now, I can't get over the excitement of playing the game with my syunga turned henyo friends.

My Birthday Celebration Part 3

It's the Part III of my month long birthday celebration. This time, I celebrated with my relatives from the father side (Peralta). We had lunch in Azalea Restaurant in Tagaytay.

My Happy New Year

Look what I found on my drafts box awhile ago. I've totally forgotten about these photos, not that I've so many to share anyway but still. We celebrated the New Year at home, eating and drinking to our hearts' content. Around 10 30PM, we started lighting up the traditional firecrackers and fireworks. Year after year, my dad buys the best New Year crackers and fireworks. My camera's getting older and older each day that's why it can't keep up with such pictures anymore. I tried capturing some photos of them but I didn't get even a single decent photo. Oh well.

While everyone else was setting up the dinner table and other stuff, I was trying to snap away some photos of myself. Haha!

My Bucket List

Photobucket
All images are from perfectbucketlist.tumblr.com

When my mom asked me months ago where I think I'm going to be in the future I said, "In a magazine publication".
I have this recurring dream in which I see myself riding on a horse, dressed in a riding habit.
There is something about Disney movies, theme parks, characters, and its makers that overwhelm me.
I've wanted to become a pilot, only I lack the height.
I tried imitating Allison Harvard's big eyes bulging - lips pouting look plenty of times.
I want to fully explore life under the sea.
I'm a daredevil.
I promised myself that sometime in the future, I'll have an Eat Pray Love experience.
I will never quit dancing, even if my body gives up on me.
I want to see items that have 'Gianella Peralta' label on.
No matter how much I like Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer is my lifetime favorite.
Jack and Rose's love story would always be my basis of a love worth keeping.
Shoes are the perfect accessory.
There are so many things that I still have to learn in school, even after graduation.
Even after filling out pages with words, I still have not completely stressed out my point.

Printed Matters

While everyone else at home was readying, I killed the time by taking photos. House Tour lang ang peg. Haha! With me is my 3 year old cousin Rayne and the latest addition to our dog family. He's still nameless but I think, his name's going to end up to be "A-so" (read as: "Ey-so"), in honor of our dog in Quezon province who died many years ago. No kidding.

Patience Tester

See, I've no patience. Even for kids, I don't have any. Biased as I am though, I use my barrel of emergency patience inducer whenever I'm with my little cousins. Among my cousins, there's one that stands out. And that's because when it comes to displaying attitude shifts and extreme mood swings, she beats me up in the game. Others say I'm a brat (although I want it to be called a weird kind of charm) cause I throw tantrums when things get out of my control (that's me sugarcoating again) but I know my limits. Honest, I do. This cousin of mine who makes me look like a saint as compared to her, knows all the strings to pull and the buttons to press. At 1 year old, she has mastered the art of manipulation. Maybe it's because she's too cute and that her curls are really something that's why everyone lets go of her tantrums. For me, it's because whenever she smiles, she looks so angelic. Besides, she's my cousin. That's enough reason for me.

Yesterday, she and her parents have flown back to Australia. It'll take another two years for us to sing and dance along the songs of "Wiggles" and to eat Pringles all day together again. I'll miss you, Alex!!!

I wish I was able to capture pictures when we were doing her Wiggles dance. Captain Feathersword and Jeff Wiggles are my new favorite characters. Haha! "Mashed banana, mashed banana, mashed banana"
