My Way or the High Way

Over the weekend, I was really determined to sweet talk everyone at home to go with me on a joyride. No destination in particular. I just want to be in a ride full of my beloved uncles, aunts and family. Why oh why? Cause it's almost summer and I have to let them feel my presence, so that should they have some fantastic vacations, they won't forget that little old silly me exists. Haha! I put on this loose black top which is reminiscent of Isabel Marant's Fall 2012 RTW button downs. Or so I think. I wore jeans for my bottom. Jeans na naman?! Jeans in school, jeans outside school too? Don't shoot me, it's just that I've to wear something that can cover up some bruises on my left leg, reminiscent of all my falling down. Hahaha. I'm trying to be witty here. Or so I think. If you by any chance thought that I'd reconsider wearing heels just because of those two tumbles, then you better stop that thought. Nothing will ever beat my cause to be taller!

Then I went over to where the red car was parked. Which background car looked more appropriate?

Yay! I finally got to say Anne Curtis' "lipstick lang ang labanan!" Hahaha. I'm not a fan of lipstick so putting on a shade as red as this is considered bravery in my book. This actually belongs to my 76 year-old grandma. Rume-red lipstick pa si lola! Estee Lauder pa ha.

Dream Summer Destinations

Others have already escaped their school bullshits, pardon the term, and are now spending their precious time in glorious places while others are still stuck in school, either running after their teachers to have their clearance paper signed or preparing for their coming finals. I belong in the last category. I'm still stuck in school, besting my laziness out but somehow it still gets the best of me which results to continuous tardiness. Aside from trying not to be late and summoning my studious will to meet all the requirements of my subjects, I daydream. I know it's summer cause I keep on falling in and out of dreamland.

Please please please, let me win the lottery!!! The only way for me to reach these luxurious resorts is if I win the lottery. Or if I save my daily allowance for 500 days! Grabe bakit presyong ginto!!! :( Why do I have the feeling that even after college, these resorts would still be just part of my dreams? To add some more salt to the wound, I  just found out an additional dream. That is, to someday write about my experience in these places!!! Hmm. Going to luxury beaches - More Fun In the Philippines. Haha!

Where Did My Balance Go?

Everything was going perfectly last Sunday UNTIL we decided to head home. I was able to masterfully walk for 4 straight hours in my newly acquired shoes, going up and down stair cases, escalators and even road slopes until I looked sideway, unmindful of the uneven brick flooring of the parking lot. For the 2nd time this month, I fell!!! This time it's more embarrassing since there were a lot who saw me. I even heard a lady shouting, "help the girl up!". When my knees turned wobbly after stepping on the uneven bricks, I knew I had to hold on to something to stop me from completely falling down. I reached for my brother's shirt who was in front of me that time but I was too late. I got hold of nothing but the thin air. I was so shocked with what happened that I wasn't able to stand up immediately. I looked at everyone around me, baffled by their concerned gazes. Good thing I felt merciful arms lifting me. Just like that, I was out of trance. I laughed. Really laughed. And thanked everyone looking at me then for the concern. My face was so hot with embarrassment but oh well, it's not as if I died. Or maybe I did. Died of embarrassment, that is.

Tiggy will miss me as much as I will miss Tiggy

After their 3-month grand vacation, my baby cousins Caoume (read as: ka-yow-mi) and Elija left the country last 14 March. Their flight from Bacolod was around noon. My dad and I fetched them from the airport and brought them somewhere the kids and I can play. Remember THIS? It was the last time we were together prior to their departure so it had been pretty long since we last saw each other. Caoume and I didn't stop talking the moment she entered the car. She had plenty of stories to share, majority of which were about Tiggy, the souvenir she got from our trip HERE. At one time she said, "You know what Ate Gellie, Tiggy said she missed you and that she'll miss you when she's home". I answered, "Well then tell Tiggy I'm going to miss her just as much." As for the 1 year old Elija, he finally learned how to say my name!

At 11 30PM of the same day, we had to bring them to the airport again for their trip back to the US.
Pictures taken in Legend Villas.

I'm going to miss you both so much!!! I hope the next time we see each other, you'll still be as sweet as you are now. And I hope I can still play with you without feeling like an adult who's acting like a kid. I'll be in my twenties in your next visit! Haha!

The War Outside Our Door Keeps Raging On

Two years ago, my college super buddies Hannah and Lina, and I talked about our favorite set of novels of all time. Lina and I changed our answers lots of time, trying to think which novels have fascinated us the most. Hannah, on the other hand, stuck with her choice: The Hunger Games. She said the story's so captivating that she wouldn't be surprised if one day it'll be translated into movies. It turned out, she's right. I'm so glad I finally gave these novels a try. Sometime last month, I finished the third book of the trilogy. Now, I can't wait for its release this coming week. I'm in a constant LSS with Taylor Swift's 'Safe and Sound', the movie's soundtrack. You were right Hannah, Hunger Games would be such a hit :)

College Girl

I miss wearing heels in school!!! I can still remember my first three terms in college wherein I wore heels every single day. Those were the days... The painful days. Haha! Straight from the resort where we stayed in, my dad brought me to school looking like this. I know I promised my feet never to cause them unnecessary exhaustion again but then since I attended only one of my supposedly 3 classes that day, I decided to just endure it. And you might be wondering why the long skirt? I was wearing a shorter and tighter version of this but something embarrassing happened. I tripped down the floor, to the delight of my brother Gio and 6 hotel staff! No kidding, I really fell. Knee first. Good thing I brought this long skirt with me, at least I was able to hide the latest addition to my "life lessons' marks".

Me as a Godmother

It's so cute!!! I mean, me becoming a godmother is so cute! Hahaha! One of my uncle's employees gave birth to a healthy baby girl last 30 December. Days before her delivery, we were all having the usual Sunday night sessions in my grandma's house when she asked me what name would be suitable for the baby. I've a lot of name reserves in my vault. In fact, assigning names has always been one of the reasons that made me love playing with toys ever since. The name I gave the baby girl is 'Martina Cyrene'. I tell you, these names were on the more subtle side of my name list. Haha! I couldn't be any happier when I attended her baptism last 10 March. It's my first time to be a godmother, to name a real baby, and to carry a child younger than a year old! Phew, that was so many firsts.
