Last year, I attended only two Accountancy parties which you can see here and here. Now, since I've moved to a different department, I'm experiencing new sets of parties. I'm rarely allowed to go out and party until dawn, I'm sure I've somehow made that obvious already. Okay except for cases like birthday parties and parties thrown by the orgs I join in. So when I'm out, I try to make the most out of it. I was in Amber in The Fort last Saturday night with my friends Karen and Lina. Say and Marga were there too. Hannah was supposed to be with me as well but due to some conflicts in her schedule, she decided to let this night pass. So anyway... Here are the few snapshots I was able to score.

Those Baggy Pants
Here's me sporting one of the pants I was able to purchase in my last Pants Hunting. The moment I've seen this pair, I fell in love. Yes it's three sizes bigger but when you want something, nothing can stop you from getting it, right?
Shirt: Gap| Belt and Pants: Promod| Necklace: from Platinum Mall, Bangkok| Bangles: Aldo| Other Accessories: from my Lola Ester
It has been a very productive day for me. I wasn't late for school, was able to have lunch date with Hannah, met with my good friends Jeanne and Vary, then finished the day with some good talks with cousin Alissa.

Ode to Pants Hunting
Earlier, I was in the mall with my cousin Alissa doing the thing that probably will not be in my favorite things to do: shopping for pants, specifically denim. It's really difficult to find the denim jeans of my dreams because for one, I don't have enough resources (read: money) and second, I don't have the height. I've heard and I'm sure that the perfect jeans to match my taste can only be found in Seven for All Mankind but student as I am, I don't have enough allowance to spend on even just a pair. Which brings me to one of my promises to myself - to buy a pair of jeans from Seven For All Manknd the moment I receive my hard earned salary. So anyway, since I can't do anything about it yet but drool, I settled for cheaper options. Mom instructed me to buy two pairs only, nothing more nothing less. I was determined to find pants that are: not skinny, not low waist and must be gray. I don't have gray pants yet so I wanted one. I thought it would be easy, since Mango, Promod, Guess, Lee and Levi's are still on sale but apparently, I was mistaken. What's up with everyone, why do they have racks of skinny jeans and low waisted pants but do not have racks of gray, straight cut ones? Don't they know that there are some vertically challenged ladies out there who cannot wear pants that will further enhance their height?
If only I could wear trousers like this everyday without looking like repeating the same pants. I ended up buying pants like this, much to my mom's dismay.
Which footwear do you guys think I wore?
My vintage CMG snake skin heels
Or
My trusty Aldo rubber boots
Always a fan of the more melodramatic one, I chose the boots.
Top: Polo| Necklace, belt and dress turned to skirt: from Bangkok
Around 3 in the afternoon, the necklace and the boots had to go because I went to school. I refrain from dressing up for school though I really want to.
On a totally unrelated note, I'd just like to tell you that though I enjoyed the idea of having been able to help our dear Mother Earth, I'm saddened by the fact that I've cough and cold for more than a week now. Yup, eversince I returned home from the dumpsite, I've been coughing and blowing my brains out. Here's wishing it's just because of the weather, not because of some virus.

Rain, You Make Me Feel Warm
When it rains, I actually feel better. The only thing that I don't like about it is when it gets too fierce. I'm selfish in most ways but in times like this, I wish everyone is safe.
Rain rain, you make Gellie want to play

I was in school around 9 30AM last tuesday. Around 11 20, classes were suspended. Taft was flooded already and a lot of the students flocked in front of the gates. I was fetched from school at 1pm. Traffic was insane! Here's wishing that my school would announce suspension of classes ahead of time to prevent students from getting stranded or just for the teachers to skip checking the attendance whenever it rains so hard.

Save the Mother Earth Part Two
One of the projects of the go green campaigns of La Salle is waste management. Remember the orientation I attended with Hannah last saturday? It was for this cause.
If we won't do anything to help clean our Mother Earth, the piles of garbage in our dumpsite would one day occupy more land area. Seriously guys, please segregate your trashes. I used to not care about this until I went to this mini - Payatas dump-site and experienced it first hand how to actually do it, the harder way. I'm sure it won't take you minutes just to separate your biodegradable from those that are not so please make an effort to actually do it.
Thanks to Hannah Dar Juan for the photos

On Becoming a Harry Potter Fan

White Polo Top: from Bangkok| Skort: gift from my aunt| Socks: Forever 21| Shoes: from Bangkok| Cape: from Korea| Accessories: random
I know compared to other Harry Potter fans, I was sort of the late bloomer. I started appreciating the Harry Potter world late last year when my college superbuddies Hannah and Lina talked me into it. They were talking about one of the books and since we were together (again) and I haven't read any book yet that time, I felt out of the discussion. Would you believe the three of us are actually bookworms? Yup, we read books for entertainment purposes. And we love it when we have book reports. I've read the HP books already and I must say that I am beyond at awe with JK Rowling. I mean, come on, where on earth did she get those ideas? How come some people are beyond brilliance? You are are a walking legend for me, JK Rowling.
The Harry Potter magic lives on.

Of Great and the Greatest: In Words
Last Saturday, I went to school to attend an orientation on taking care of the environment. I'll show you the photos in a separate post. So Hannah, if you're reading this, please send me our photos :) Right after, I followed to where my family had lunch. Here's my whole-day uniform:
Top: Forever 21| Skirt: The Ramp| Shoes: Topshop| Accessories: random (most came from my Lola)

Here's my Lola Ester with me
Here's my Lola Ester with me
Now let me tell you the reason for the title of this post. I was thinking, after hearing some comments and suggestions about me writing down my thoughts more extensively, what if I put up a separate blog containing nothing but pure words? It's taking me days just to post photos of where I went to or what I did here. As you might have noticed, I don't publish stories without including photos. In the word blog that I'm planning on creating, I can update as frequent as every other day and not only that, I can further enhance the languages I wish to be good at: English and French. My mom and I are about to enroll for some French lessons. She was actually good at it, until she lost all chances of speaking the language. So, there. What can you say? Do you think it's okay if I'll publish a separate blog or is it better if I just add my thoughts here even though it'll take me ages? Let me know about what you think :)
You Had Me at Hello
If there is anything that I would like to say to Kipling, it would be 'You had me at hello'. Do you know that certain feeling when you pass by a bag and then you had to go back because there was as if some force pulling you to its beauty? This is exactly how I feel about Kipling bags. I do not normally post about my purchases because for me, there's no reason to do so. After all, you'll see me in them someday. But I have to break this code of mine this once, just this once.
I started patronizing Kipling bags when I was in 1st year HS. Since I had to wear a uniform like the rest, I needed something to make me stand out from the crowd. Not really something to make heads turn towards me, just something to make others identify me. This certain something, for me, was Kipling bag. Year after year in HS, it had been necessary for me to buy a new bag. Let me show you those bags:
I'm looking for my other HS pictures. These three were taken when I was in 3rd year and when in 2nd year.
(Lia, Shiina, Rie, Che, Jer, Dacs and Val, forgive me for using these photos. You guys look cute in there naman eh)
Last thursday, my mom called me up and told me to meet with her in a mall. When we passed by the Kipling store, this Claudine bag called me, almost begged me to take her home with me. So now, it is home.
Can't wait to use it!!!
Another reason for this is post is that, I'm wishing with my fingers crossed that this camera bag would be out in the market here in the Philippines. I've been looking for it in all stores, including online ones but no one can ship it here. Please Kipling, make my dream of having the perfect bag for my camera come true.
Love, Gellie
