Week Before Holy Week

One of our family's Holy Week traditions is to go up 'Kamay Ni Hesus'. This year, we went up the mountain with the Peraltas. Kamay Ni Hesus is found in Lucban, Quezon.

Had our lunch in Kamayan sa Palaisdaan. Personally, I think they are one of the restaurants who serve the most delicious food in the country.

I didn't know that girls who are wearing bottoms that are above the knee are not allowed to go up the mountain. Good thing Ate Lea, the ever reliable superwoman of our family, lent me her unused pants.

Guess who became the object of their entertainment.

We finished the Kamay Ni Hesus pre-Holy Week activity with lighted candles.

Last year, we did this too with the Valles. A pity that I wasn't able to recover any pictures aside from this:

FROSH No More

It's the last day of my being a FROSH!!! Yay for me!!! I'm done with my finals. And so are my friends except for those who will take the qualifying examinaton this friday. Good luck, you guys! :)

Lina, Tin, Hannah and I took the same exam - Busorga which was scheduled to be taken from 3:30 - 5:30 PM. We were all to meet up at 1PM. But Tin and I decided to meet earlier. We're supposed to meet at 11AM but ever the late comer, I arrived around 11:30. We talked and talked and talked about random things and one of which is our Summer Resolution (yup, it's good only for summer) ;)

The pivotal point of the entire day:
I had my very first initiation for... for something that is truly a human weakness. Words are failing me now so I guess I would have to leave this as it is.

Got your shades on your eyes And your heels so high

I've always loved the color red! It's such a passionate and expressive color for me. Hmm, I think red will play a huge part in my wardrobe this summer. Oh! The title's from the song Price Tag of Jessie J. Such a catchy song. Ba-Bling Ba-Bling.

Sometimes, I wish life has a reverse button. Not because I want to undo what I have already done, although that's a good reason too, but because I want to return to how everything uses to be. When I look back, I have what I think is lacking in my life nowadays - contentment. I'm not saying that I don't want to welcome changes in my life nor am I saying that I want to stop my growth. All I'm saying is that maybe, just maybe, if I haven't lost the principles I once held, then I wouldn't probably be in these... these complicated predicaments.

Unpredictable

Yet again, she found herself battling with the greatest adversary she could ever face: herself. Something's wrong, she just can't point her fingers as to what.

Brace yourself, friends. A whole lot of change is coming.

Trend: Color Blocking

Right after our last class, we headed to Rockwell cause we thought that we need to relax before we take our finals next week. And besides, we were hoping that 'something' will happen there. But it didn't. For a while we were disappointed and a little sad until we thought, it's April Fool's Day which means that we should not be sad and make someone else sad instead ;) We had our late lunch in Chili's where we subtly told the waiters that it's Hannah's birthday, but it really is not, just so we can we have free sundaes. I guess the waiters were dense that's why they weren't able to get our message. Hahaha.

After a cup of Pistachio ice cream and a few more talk, we went to Lina's where the following pictures were taken. If you've noticed we are sort of colorful today. Okay, I mean we are more than colorful today. We tried color blocking. What say you? Do you think we did justice to the trend or what? ;;)

We have a message for anyone who wishes to watch this 2 second - video:

Since I'm on it, I would like to correct the term I used in describing my food diet. I'm actually having the Pescetarian diet. It's a diet which includes seafood, nuts, veggies, fruits, grains and dairy but definitely excludes meat. So there. Thanks to Lolita, a fellow blogger who has kick ass hair, for introducing to me this term. Visit her blog here :)

All those Green Icky Stuff

I am so proud of myself. Very, very, very proud. Today marks the 31st day of my journey in becoming a vegetarian. I haven't eaten any pork, beef and chicken since the eve of February 28. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to accomplish my then month-long goal because I tell you when you see my brothers eat, you'll think that they're having their last meal on Earth. But I was able to resist. It amazed me knowing that I have quite a good hold on myself.

Potato Chips? I think I'll pass. google.com
I'm not a Vegan, I'm only a Vegetarian. There's a difference. I don't eat meat, pork or any poultry but I eat seafood, eggs, and dairy products. I eat veggies too, on a daily basis. I love fruits so very much. The trick in eating fruits is, you should only eat one kind at a time. For example you want honeydews, then you should stick with honeydews alone. This is the mono diet ;) I don't necessarily detest potatoes but I don't eat them if they're fried. Even potato chips are a no no. I have been observing this potato craze since last year. So yes, I haven't eaten fries since last year.

So, what kinds of food do I eat now, you might ask. Here they are:

My breakfast is usually composed of my favorite cereals, Fruit Loops, an apple and a glass of milk google.com

I can't let go of my favorite junk food google.com

Even ice cream, I still eat.
So you see, it's not all salad and all those green icky stuff. Besides, I'm doing those animals I do not anymore eat a favor, don't I? :)

P.S. Before trying becoming a Vegetarian, consult your dietitian first :)

Leaves as Big as Me

See those gigantic leaves behind us? They're tobacco leaves. I feel like I'm in the age of the dinosaurs, where trees grow as tall as buildings.

In one of my entries in Chictopia, I mentioned my short-lived obsession over the 'reporter-look'. I was still in this phase when these pictures were taken, thus the outfit choice. Oh, if you haven't heard of the reporter-look, don't fret. It's just a look I coined. Vest is a necessity. Hahahaha.

Pictures in this entry were taken exactly a year and two months ago, outside our humble abode in Ilocos.

Dancer In Me

Photobucket

There's a story behind this photo. As everyone was readying themselves to my cousin's first birthday party (pictures in this day here, here and here), my uncle put a random CD in the stereo and turned the volume to the maximum. I was on the stairs then, getting my picture taken. As soon as the music started, I stopped smiling for the camera and danced instead. My dad, my uncle and my little cousin danced away with me. It was really very funny. I wish my aunts and mom took videos of us.
