Arecaceae

I've just been on a 10-day hiatus. In those 10 days, I didn't have any access to the Internet because I stupidly forgot to bring the pocket wifi with me. So I'll compensate my absence with numerous posts over this week. I'll start my Holy Week photo documentary posts with this set.

I attended a relative's wedding held in Ilocos Sur. To be attuned with the season, I wore what I deemed was perfect for the resort-summer theme. I used my skirt as a tube top, tucked it in a formal white with gold accent dress shorts given to me by my best friend, and finished off with a colorful necklace. I threw on my overused white blazer just to uphold the solemnity of the rites while in the church. I'm more of a fan of an intimate gathering than a grandiose celebration. I love lavish occasions in general but anything that has to do with the Sacraments, I prefer it to be private and exclusive only to the closest relatives and friends.

Aside from the palm trees print on my top, which by the way is the more common term for the title of this post, perhaps the color  I can associate with summer the most is white (whether white is a basic color or not as debated in some articles, for all purposes involving myself, white is a color).

Made in Heaven

Last 19th of December, I attended a relative's wedding. Few days before, my mom showed me the invitation and basing on how it looked like, I knew I could expect a lovely, if not grand, event. And the wedding didn't disappoint! I give it a two thumbs up!!! I love attending weddings more than any coming-of-age events. I love looking at the gowns of the bridesmaids, the design of the church, and the intricate pattern on the bride's white dress. Most of all, I love how the bride enters the place and walks down the aisle. Entrance is always always always everything. Blame it on my side that would forever wish for what girls have always dreamed of - the fairy tale happy ever after that starts with a wedding. The wedding was held in San Agustin Church and if only we weren't late, I would've had taken proper pictures around the area. Intramuros is so beautiful! How come I don't frequent that place?

In the church, I threw on my white blazer to match with the "all dressed in white" march.

I love the embroidery on the bride's gown so much so that I had to ask her who the designer is. It's just sad that my memory wasn't able to remember. Boo!

The reception followed in Blue Leaf Pavillion. By then, I shed the blazer off and enjoyed the yummy food! Instead of having the 'lechon baboy', there's the cow roasting, very very delicious!

It was Solemn and Binding

Another year-delayed post.

Here's what I wore:

Location: Caleruega Chapel

Can you feel the warmth and solemnity of the place? Perfect for an intimate wedding.
If I will get married one day, this chapel is going to definitely be on my list.
