The Emotional Punching Bag

My college emotional punching bag celebrated her 18th birthday in Vikings restaurant. First, let me clear the reasons behind her title. You know those days when everything seems to be going the opposite direction of what you've been wishing for and all you want to do is scream in frustration? Or those days when you've prepared so much for your speech or quiz to be affronted with the "quiz won't push through until next week". Or those days when you simply don't have anything to do so to while your time away, you start picking on someone. Mind you, not once did I use the word 'bully' to describe it. Cause it's really not bullying. It's more of showing your love and appreciation of her presence in a less cheesy way. Get the picture?

When my class ended at 1pm, I met up with Lina in Glorietta where we killed the our time by checking out the new books and new stuff in the racks of some stores we love, and also by watching a certain movie, for the second time. Yup, we loved it! Have I mentioned that she and I were also on time for the dinner celebration? Our being on time, which is rare I tell you, is our birthday gift to the celebrant. Hihi

But of course before we achieved her look in the previous photo, we had to do some last minute retouch. Thanks to hand dryers for being instant hair lowers. Haha!

Friend Files: The Good Influence

"A friend is someone who will always be with you through thick and thin."

When I talk, she listens. When I whine, she understands. When I'm sad, she makes me happy. When I smile, she instantly knows why. When I shout in frustration, she makes sure everyone can 'hear' my anger. When there's a homework, she reminds me to do them. When I do something wrong, she covers up for me. When I'm late, she signs the attendance paper for me. When I failed to do what I have to do, she does something to remedy it. When someone badmouths me, she sticks up for me. When I start a fight with someone else, she fights with me. When I'm losing all reasons to go to school, she tells me things that can get me back on track. When I'm becoming impatient, she becomes too kind, so kind that I would rather laugh at what's wasting my time than continue wishing for that something to evaporate. When I'm losing faith in myself, she reminds me of things that can make me thankful for (no false humility intended). But when she tells me to shut up, I shut up.

Everything she does results to something that would benefit me. With her, I feel like I have to do the right thing. That I have to be able to distinguish what is just from what I think is just. That I have to be the better version of myself. And oddly enough, she made me realize I love doing the right things. That there really is an appropriate time for everything :)

Save Mother Earth

Our climate has been showing us the results of our irresponsible acts. Young as we are, we can still make a difference. It's not yet too late for us to do something for the environment.

We had our lunch in Tagaytay. And since I practice the value of loyalty, where else did I bring my friends but to Fire Grill in Cliffhouse.  If you haven't gone there, then I suggest you start asking your parents to bring you there. The foods are sumptuous, the ambiance is great, the service is impeccable.

More often than not, you have to sacrifice some great things in order to achieve greater things.

Yet Again

This is a photo-heavy post!

Tin and I were together again even if there was no class last Tuesday. If this is not dedication to school work, I don't know what is.

They're the sweetest couple I've met :">
Christian treated us to our lunch. Cheesy pops!

Let me show you the best National book store by far. I spent an entire hour in there without actually buying anything. I just satisfied myself with browsing through their shelves, aside from taking pictures of course.

P.S. I am so dead excited for Christmas!

Round and Round and Round

"I think, therefore I'm an accountant", was what Tin's shirt says. We went to PICPA hoping to interview someone who's well-versed with the ethics and standards the accounting practice in the Philippines follow. Let's not get too technical with that now. So after we've done what we're supposed to do in their office in Shaw, Tin and I headed for Shang.

See that book I'm holding? It's what I'm obsessed with at the moment
