28 December 2012

Coxswain

2012 is almost at its finishing line. I'm wishing all of you a very happy holiday. My greetings are kind of late but still, let me have this chance to wish you all happiness, peace, and contentment; the same things that I'm wishing for myself at the moment. You reap what you sow. Clearly, there are a lot of aphorisms that I know of but vaguely understand. Let this Christmas season heal all that has to be healed. Believe in what the coming year has in store for all of us. And for what it's worth, learn from everything that has happened for they happened because they have to make us realize things that we wouldn't have thought of had they not slapped us in the face, figuratively I hope.

But anyway, Happy Holidays everyone! From the bottom of my "small and hardened" heart, thank you for being a part of my 2012. Yes, it isn't one that I'd dream of reliving but it's definitely something that made me stronger and wiser. Thank you!!! :)

Let me have this opportunity to thank everyone who has made 2011 one hell of a year for me. I've so much to be thankful for and on top of them, it's you guys that I'm greatly indebted to. You guys know who you are :) I know I'm moody, erratic, irritable, senseless at times, and what-have-you that's why I'm beyond grateful for all the understanding and love you've showered me with. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! :)

On my next entry, I'll make a quick recap of the 12 most memorable moments of 2011.

One Week Of Rest

Oh my! I have a lot of catching up to do. A lot. Seriously. But first things first. For some reason, I didn't want to go around telling everyone that I was confined in the hospital and was only given permission to leave earlier this afternoon because I found it so tedious. My doctor said I needed rest so I cut my social connection during the week. I appreciated all the effort, love, and concern that came pouring in and the supposed visits but like what I said, I had to rest. Besides, I'm sure you wouldn't have liked my appearance. Perhaps because of the dextrose, my cheeks got so bloated, my eyes were so puffy, and my arms were red all over. I wasn't such a sight to behold. Haha! 8 bottles of dextrose and daily blood extraction later, I'm up and kicking again.

10 December 2010

When it seems the magic slipped away, we find it all again on Christmas Day.

The Christmas season is definitely in the air already. I can see it come alive every night, whenever I pass along houses and places which are heavily-adorned with Christmas decorations and lights. I can hear it, whenever I put on my headphones and turn on my laptop. And I can feel it, whenever I sit in front of the TV, holding my mug of hot chocolate, and enjoying the DVDS of my favorite Christmas-themed movies. Indeed, my favorite season of the year has already arrived.

If I would to recommend one movie which truly encapsulates what Christmas for me is, it will certainly be The Polar Express. Ever since it has been released in 2004, I have never failed to watch it year after year. Watch it, it will boost your Christmas spirits ;)

Here's a song from the movie which I hope will express my Christmas greetings to everyone who finds time to be here in my blog :>

Thank you to all those who have let me take
pictures of your fancy Christmas decors!
