I Can Smile at the Old Days

Here's another set of black and white pictures. Since I've said in my previous entry that I'm cleaning up my files, I'm doing backlog posts. Here's a promise that by next week, I'll post recent entries already. Haha! Oh, can you guess what song I'm listening to while writing this down? It influenced the title...
The following pictures were taken in Hacienda Escudero sometime in Summer 2010.

Oh look, that's Ate Lea with my Kuya! She's been with our family since I was a grade schooler, probably the best helper we ever had. It saddens me that she's left us already.

And Not A Single Care Was Given

I was going through a major cleaning up and sorting out of photos to relieve my computer from some memory damp when I came across these. You know those days when you think you've really prepared for an event and you badly wanted to document it only to find out in the end that you weren't able to capture even just a significant part of the crazy night you had? This one's an example. I carefully chose what I'm going to wear cause hey, it's the last night of the cruise and that the captain hosted a party on the deck. Foods, particularly chocolates, were overflowing. Speakers were loudly banging. Everyone was dancing, including my brothers who since then have sworn never to dance in public again. It was a fun night, and also it was the night that I truly regret not taking many pictures of.

Notice my short hair then? Well, I'm planning to do something about my crowning glory this weekend. I just can't decide which look to go for. Decisions, decisions.

Activities

I was so thrilled at seeing these photos! These were taken using this cool Nikon camera which recognizes its subject's smile. My titos would tease me by placing this in front of me. Camera "shy" as I am, whenever I see it I automatically smile. Every time I smile, the camera shoots away. It's wonderful. I wish my parents would get one for me this summer. Cause aside from its 'Smile Mode', it's also waterproof. Sometimes I think, I sound like a walking advertisement. Hahaha!

Out table was literally in front of the stage so you can just imagine how near we were to the performers. We've eaten in Zamboanga restaurant before. You can check it out HERE.

My Birthday Celebration... Nope, Not Yet the Conclusion

The last sunday of January didn't witness the end of my month-long birthday celebration. It had to be put aside to give way to my Tito Roy's birthday. It was a sudden celebration, without any prior plans so it's just a home-based one. All's good though since the entire Peralta family was there.

Travel Philippines: Bacolod

Back to Bacolod

Last Sunday to Monday, thanks to the 3-day weekend, I was in Bacolod city with my brothers to visit our cousins. The days seemed to have passed like a blur because just when we're having so so so much fun, it was Monday already.

Saturday. Lola Ester, Kuya Gian, Gio and I were in the airport around 3am for our 4 55am flight. I was watching the Living Asia channel's feature on Palmas del Mar Resort in Bacolod prior to the flight. Hours later, I was in the actual resort. I didn't know my Titas booked for an overnight stay there, an extension of Wawo's (grandfather) birthday celebration. Do I have decent pictures of the three pools and the lake? No. Did I swim? No. Did I have fun? A lot!

Sunday. One loooooong day! My brothers and I became baby sitters for more than 5 hours. I mean, the adults (though we are of legal age, we're considered kids) were having their siesta naps while we three looked after the three babies. This included playing with them, making sure their bottles of milk are ready in case they ask, stopping would-be fights, and basically not resting. In the evening, we went to where the countdown to the Chinese New Year was set up. It's my first time to experience such a jam packed street party and I must say I enjoyed it. I'll try to sweet-talk my mom into allowing me to go back to Bacolod for the Masskara festival. Hihi

Monday. I played and talked with Caoume all day. We did a little treasure hunting in the afternoon which meant she bought some huge stuffed toys and I bought huge 'toys' as well. Around 5 30pm, Wawo, Wawa, Tita Cay, Tita Mikoy, Lala, and the two kids brought me and my brothers to the airport for our 7 o'clock flight back to Manila.

The moment Elija and Caoume were out of our sights, my brothers and I had the same comment, "I'm feeling under the weather". Here's hoping we'd see more of them before they return to Virginia. We've totally been hooked with their antics!

To Tita Cay, Wawo, Wawa, Lala Ester, Tito Christian, Tito Jojie, Tita Madette, Tita Mikoy, Taedi, Andrew, Caoume, and Elija, thank you so much for the fun filled weekend :)
