Let me have this opportunity to thank everyone who has made 2011 one hell of a year for me. I've so much to be thankful for and on top of them, it's you guys that I'm greatly indebted to. You guys know who you are :) I know I'm moody, erratic, irritable, senseless at times, and what-have-you that's why I'm beyond grateful for all the understanding and love you've showered me with. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! :)

On my next entry, I'll make a quick recap of the 12 most memorable moments of 2011.

Train of Thought Series Part 9

Whenever I deal with a difficult situation, I consider only two things:

Would the journey impair so much of how I think of myself that I will have to choose the right things?

Or

Would the end be enough to justify whatever means I've utilized?

Oftentimes, I'm more of a Machiavellian.

A Christmas Carol

December 25, 2011

I spent majority of Christmas day on the road, celebrating with my relatives from the mother side in Quezon province in the morning then driving back to Manila to have Christmas dinner with relatives from my father side. On to what I wore: I thought my dress was perfect for the day, with its sequined details and its knit-like feel. What do you think?

I wish you all had a fun celebration of Christmas with your loved ones :)

I have to delay some posts again as I'm spending the remaining days of 2011 with my cousins. January 2012 is promising to be a very busy month for me. So 'till then!

Desperate Measures

Season greetings! I wish you and your families a very merry celebration. See you on December 26. I'll be spending my holidays out of town :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I say it does because everything seems to be going along as how I hoped for it to be. Take today for example. I badly wanted to bond with some of my college friends. *ehem I wish you can see this, Lina, Hannah, Debs and Tin ehem* But since I'm not someone who's allowed to go out on a daily basis, I had to do the thing that I've perfected through the years - the art of manipulation. Cue evil laugh. A few tweaks here and there, et voila. I had my friend Lina join me, my brother, and my mom as we spent the afternoon in the mall. I swear this was a spur of the moment meeting, Hans! ;;)

I Am Golden

I had a pre-Christmas dinner with my best friend Karen Soledad in Mario's, Tomas Morato. We were to attend a Christmas party of my HS closest friends but knowing how late my HS friends have always been, I decided to eat ahead. I chose Mario's because I remembered how yummy their Clam Chowder soup is. Hihi. Besides, Mario's has always given me the privacy and security I look for when it comes to bonding over dinner. Have I also mentioned that I am someone who prefers personal bonding than chatting online?

Thank you so very much, S! I've been so demanding the entire night and all you did was to give in. I knew I've always been right in choosing the best persons to be with :)

Every holiday season, mom and I would always brainstorm on the gifts we'll be giving to those who are dear to our hearts. Always, we would agree on something that is very personal. So either we will personalize the gift wrappers like what we did last year or we'll give home made treats. This year, we're doing the latter. Click on the link if you wish to order the following treats as well.

1. Brownies from Roshan's

They come into 2 flavors: Dulce de Leche which goes best with Haagen Dazs Coffee Ice Cream flavor and Fudge Walnut which should be topped with Haagen Dazs coffee or Vanilla Ice Cream.

2. Luxury Jams from The Fruit Garden

It's not that I'm bored. It's that I want to laugh at myself.

As I said before, I've always wanted to become a Disney Princess. Since I'm miles away from that dream, I'll settle to becoming an ogre princess first. Haha!

This is my screen saver as of the moment. I can't help but laugh at it!

I promise that my next post would be decent outfit shots :D

My Cousins are Coming to Town

It's finals week, the last strings I have to pull for this term and are very crucial in making the decision to an impending confession. This is an entirely complicated, irrational and scary story so I won't delve into it. Not until i've resolved it anyway. Let me say my first line again. It's finals week. I'm supposed to be dedicating my weekend and the entire week to studying. Like how 'supposed-to-happen' things always end up being just what should be done but wasn't done stuff, I wasn't able to study nor even just squeeze one lesson in my brain. My two hyper active cousins, Caoume and Elijah, took all the time that I reserved for myself. Have I mentioned that I'm not really someone to be left in charge with kids? I don't really hate them but I don't like them either. I'm too childish to pass for an adult so I don't trust myself when it comes to handling kids. My first cousins though, I am too charmed by them that I'm willing to do and give anything and everything just to make them laugh. Yup, I'm biased. Haven't I mentioned that as well before?

Saturday. I spent my entire day playing with the two kids. Caoume said that Elijah speaks 'Iggy' words and that she's the only one who can understand it. Elijah kept on mumbling words at me. At one point Caoume blurted out in her super cute innocent and accented voice, "Ate Gellie, Elijah says he likes you". From that moment on, I knew I'm hooked with them.

Sunday. The entire Valle family went to Quezon province. We arrived in Manila around 12 midnight.

Go Super Girl! "When I turn 6, I would be medium kid. I'm going to be cowgirl" (Medium kids, according to her, are children whose age ranges from 5 - 6)

Monday. My exam started at 8. I slept around 2am the previous night cause I couldn't really go into the battlefield (exam room) without even just shining my armor with the right amount of shine. I was sleep-deprived so I overslept. I arrived in school quarter to 9. After my exam, I headed for where my cousins were staying.

Note: Something came over me during these three days. My camera and I weren't buddies for some reason. There could have been moooore pictures if I didn't leave it behind.

Rain Boots

Last friday, my day went something like this:
12 noon: I woke up and readied for school. It was raining, as if my prayers the night before were answered.
3pm: I arrived in school for my 2:40 class. I was late, as usual. But because I was late, there was already someone sitting on where I'm usually seated. (I was able to talk to my long time crush though! It turned out, he knew me all along too. Kilig kilig :>)
4:30pm: I was trying to fill out my Starbucks sticker card.
6pm: I did the grocery with my dad, Tito Ian, and Lola Ester for my first cousins who are to arrive from the US.
7:30pm: I had dinner.

Last Minute Changes

I was dismissed from school around 6pm. The original plan was, I'll go home to change into fresher clothes before heading for my grandmother's 76th birthday celebration. But then the traffic didn't allow the plan to push through so what happened was, I was fetched from school without any spare clothes for me to slip in. I swear I had an outfit in mind but oh well, maybe it wasn't the right time for me to wear it that's why I ended up in my school uniform for that day.

Photobucket
Before I left the country last weekend, I was entrusted to make the birthday banner. This was what I ended up doing. Thanks to my sweet college friends Lina, Colene, Daniel, Justin and Patrick, I finished it hours before the party.

Yup, that's what I said. And that's what we did.
